Mongolia is one of the most important habitats for birds in the world. There are roughly 500 species of birds have been recorded in Mongolia and more than thirty of them are globally threatened species. Photographer eager to take all those threatened species of birds to help preserving them through his Bird Mongolia project. Threatened Mammals in Mongolia | Nature & Animal Photos

Mongolia, the existence of several different geographical zones and home to the diversity of fauna species. According to research report of the WWF – Mongolia, there are 391 mammals recorded in Mongolia and more than twenty species of mammals are listed on the Regional Red List and globally categorized as Critically Endangered, Endangered and Vulnerable species. The photographer has been traveling through the remotest corners of Mongolia for documenting his wildlife photo expeditions and show us some of the rarest animal photos.

The vegetation of Mongolia is a very distinctive and heterogeneous because of the country’s location at the junction of two large floristic regions of the earth- the Siberian taiga and the central Asian desert- steppe. Mongolia has roughly 3,000 species of vascular plants; over 150 species are endemic and 130 species plants are determined as extremely rare and listed on regional red book.
