It’s just a very convenient itinerary for easy trekkers, which takes place in the heart of Mongolia in Arkhangai province, a symbol of mongolian identity with its peaceful green meadows, rolling hills and valleys dotted with wild flowers. Because the area presents most appreciable environment for animal husbandary, you’ll have opportunity to meet nomads and be invited to their families. Parallely, some few days of the tour will be spent in the complete isolation of the human living , in the beautiful Suvarga khairkhan mountain. During the trek we will occasionaly have a visit to intersting museums and historcil sites of Orkhon valley including Kharkhorin and Erdene zuu site, which are the important part of Mongolian history. You will enjoy magnificient Orkhon waterfall, freshwater rivers, and lovely sandy area of Elsen tasarhai. On 13th day you will head back to Ulaanbaatar leaving beautiful Arkhangai province. But the memories of the wonderful trek will touch you for a long time. ITINERARY:

Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. City sightseeing with visits to National History Museum and Gandan monastery. Short briefing on upcoming tour and welcome dinner. Hotel.

Day 2. Early in the morning the drivers will be ready to meet you at the doors of your hotel. Load our luggage and start our tour towards Ogii Lake, the biggest lake of central Mongolia settled in the legendary Orkhon valley. Half day is spending at the camp preparing yourself for next 7 days of trekking. Tourist camp.

Day 3. (2- hour trek )Start our trekking along the north shore of the lake while exploring the lake and its abundant bird life. Further, we cross the Orkhon Bridge and have outdoor lunch. After lunch continue our trip and set tented camp near Tsetserleg town - the center of Arkhangai province. Tented camp.

Day 4. (3 hour trek )Entering the Tsetserleg town visit local museum. Driving to the south through the beautiful grass valley from which begins forest mountainous area. Tented camp.

Days 5 - 7. (3 - 5 hour treks) Next few days we trekking up to the mountains towards Suvarga Khairkhan peak 3.179 m. The trek leads us to several passes and forests of larches at the foot of this sacred mountain. We will leave our vehicle behind, and further horses and camels will support our team. The area is wild and has abundant wildlife including wolf, fox, bear and deer. We will hear their voices at night in the forest, and if we are lucky we can see the wild animals during our while trek. Days 8 - 9. (3-4 hour treks )Walking down to the Teel River at the altitude 1800 m, and trek through beautiful surrounding areas occasionally meeting herders and horsemen, visiting hospitable nomadic families. We have chance to taste home-made milk products. Tented camp.


Day 10. (4 hour trek)Now trekking along Orkhon valley until we reach the magnificient Orkhon waterfall. After a while we will visit Tovkhon temple settled on the Shiveet mountain top. This is the place where Zanabazar, the head and founder of Mongolian Buddhism, was creating his famous art works such as the national script “soyombo” in XVI century. Now, the temple has accepted as “the world precious heritage” by UNESCO. We can see the symbolic rock formations, stone script and caves in surroundings. Tented camp.

Day 11. (4 hour trek)Today we arrive in Kharkhorin - the ancient capital and one of the important sites of Mongolian history and culture. From here, the Chinggis Khan and his sons ruled the Great Mongolian Empire during XIII century, and trade center through which passed legendary Silk Road, the main commerce network of Whole Eurasia. Visit to Erdene Zuu monastery built on the ruins of Kharkhorin city in Century. Tourist camp.

Day 12. (4 hour trek with hiking to the mountain). Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai – the north point of Mongolian desert with lovely sand dunes. From here, we walk towards Ovgon temple settled in the magnificent Khogno khan mountain. Tented camp.

Day 13. Driving back to Ulaanbaatar. Relaxing hours in the hotel. Shopping for souvenir and individual activities. National folk and dance concert in the evening. Farewell dinner in restaurant. Hotel.

Day 14. Transfer to the Airport. Depart from Ulaanbaatar.
